INGREDIENTS:
- 1 medium to large Yam or Sweet Potato
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Oregano
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1/2 tsp Cayenne pepper
- Sea salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 425F
- Wash and peel sweet potato. Be sure to dry the sweet potato off with a paper towel (if its damp or wet they won’t get crispy when baked)
- Cut sweet potato into fries, the thinner you cut them the crispier they will be.
- Transfer fries into a large bowl, drizzle just enough olive oil to evenly coat each fry and add your spices, salt and pepper. Toss mixture to coat evenly.
- On a baking sheet or non stick baking dish, spray cooking spray to prevent fries from sticking to the bottom. Arrange your fries in a single layer.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, then flip them (with a spatula) and allow them to bake on the opposite side for another 15-20 minutes or until they are crispy. Be sure to let them bake long enough!
